In 1997, Ambassador Bible Church was born out of a vision to reach all ethnic groups in the diverse Washington D.C. metropolitan area. After meeting at a local high school for several years, Ambassador Bible moved forward in faith to find a more permanent location for its multiethnic community of faith. In 2014, the church found an ideal space to lease in Chantilly, Virginia and sought out the expertise of Scott Long Construction to complete the fit-out. The project consisted of a 12,250 SF renovation of a flex office warehouse into a church complete with a spacious entry lobby, classrooms, administrative offices, and highlighted by a 4,500 SF sanctuary with 355 seats. Scott-Long performed this work as a Design-Build Contract delivery and provided architectural and MEP designs and permits in accordance with the Church’s program requirements and specified standards. We worked as a team with the church to determine how to best utilize the existing conditions and minimize modifications in order to reduce costs. We are delighted to have partnered with Ambassador Bible to fulfill their vision of being a church where people of all nationalities can call home.
